The architect Richard Rogers was presenting his Transbay Terminal and Tower designs to the city of San Francisco. In order to stand out from their competitors (Skidmore Owings Merrill and Pelli Clarke Pelli Architects), the Rogers team wanted a leave-behind for the review board in charge of architect selection that was memorable and had resonance. Our solution was an acid-etched stainless steel sculpture representing the tower and transit complex, packaged in a sleeve with a small booklet of renderings and quotes from Richard Rogers.
